I’m Thomas, a documentary wedding photographer based in South Wales, photographing weddings across Wales, the UK and further afield.

I believe your wedding should be about being there. Being with your people, enjoying the day, getting caught up in the moment and making memories you’ll actually want to remember.

The photographs should come from all of that. Weddings can be beautiful chaos. Those are the moments I’m interested in.

South Wales Documentary Wedding Photographer

My approach to wedding photography is relaxed, natural as unobtrusive as possible. I’m there to photograph your wedding as it actually happens, rather than constantly directing you or pulling you away from your guests.

There’s no need to spend hours standing in front of a camera or repeating moments that have already happened.

Instead, I’ll quietly move through the day, paying attention to what’s happening around me and looking for the moments that tell the real story of your wedding.

That doesn’t mean you won’t get beautiful photographs of the two of you either. When it comes to couple portraits, I’ll give you some gentle direction when you need it and want it, then let you get on with being yourselves. It’s a small part of the day, not the main event.

For me, the best wedding photographs aren't always the ones where everyone is looking at the camera. They’re the ones that take you straight back to how the day felt.

I photograph weddings throughout South Wales, including Cardiff, Newport, Monmouthshire and the Vale of Glamorgan, as well as weddings across Wales and the wider UK such as Bristol, Bath, London and beyond.

Whether you’re planning a relaxed countryside wedding, an intimate celebration, a city wedding or a big party with everyone you know, my approach stays the same.

I’ll be there to document the whole story. The big moments, the quiet ones, the people you love and all the little things happening in between.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Firstly get in touch and check your date! A signed contract and booking fee are required. Once confirmed, your wedding date is officially reserved.

  • Yes. I regularly work on location across the UK. Travel is usually included in the price however, fees may apply depending on the distance.

  • I focus on real moments, real emotion, and everything in between. When needed, I’ll gently guide you during couple portraits or key moments to make sure you look your best, but nothing will ever feel forced or overly posed. The goal is simple: natural, honest images that feel like you.

  • All final images are delivered via a private online gallery where you can view, download, and share your photos.

  • For a full day package you will receive between 500 and 1000 individually edited images.
